MTA activates robot to speed up NYC subway work

These hydraulic veins don’t tire. Transit honchos on Wednesday announced plans to dust off and rebuild a prototype robot to do construction work in subway tunnels. The robot, which reportedly has no nickname, was manufactured by the New Jersey company Reliabotics. Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials will place it on a flatbed work train car and use it to drill holes into tunnel walls to install signal equipment. The technology will be deployed in the F train’s East River tunnel in October to help crews repair damage from Hurricane Sandy in 2012...

Robotic Automation

One of the world’s most trusted partners to automakers enlisted Reliabotics to help streamline one of their manufacturing processes. With our innovative design and engineering we were able to eliminate one task increasing their production speed by over 30%.

Large packaging company contracted Reliabotics to design and development an automated high speed pick and place system capable of picking loose pressed powder cosmetic tins and placing them into a variety of compacts.
